Choking Victim
By law the instructions for the Heimlich Maneuver must be posted in all NYC restaurants;
this sign is the most common way of meeting that requirement.

Choking Victim was the third and possibly the most complicated of my NYC doors as it involved the hand cutting of lots of tiny letters. This set of doors was appropriately found on a corner of restauant row in the Hell's Kitchen area of Manhattan.
  • These doors, like the others show the age and wear of its first life as there are some small dents and even a little rust under the paint at the bottom of the lower door.
  • Choking Victim was painted exclusively with Krylon spray paints using hand cut paper stencils on a thick set of vintage Hot Point doors taken from the streets of Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan.

Choking Victim is currently available for purchase. Please email for pricing. mrjaymillar@yahoo.com
